As your precinct delegate, I plan to distribute information about all Democrats in the area who are running for office. I want to assist voters in choosing the candidates that best represent Lyon Township and Western Oakland County at all levels of government.
I am a lifelong Lyon Township resident and active in progressive politics. I am currently working on a bachelor's degree in Political Science at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. I organized voters for the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign in 2016. I am currently a field organizer for a district 11 congressional candidate (our district) and candidate for state representative in the 42nd district (Livingston county). I also work with the Sierra Club, editing publications and advocating for the natural resources that make our area great.
As your precinct delegate, I plan to distribute information about all Democrats in the area who are running for office. I want to assist the voters in choosing a candidate who is right for Lyon Township by helping us stay informed.
I am involved in politics because I believe in representative democracy: a government that works for the people, not for corporations. I believe tax payer money is used recklessly and inefficiently, and that's why my mission is to get people involved with their government. If we show Washington and Lansing that we DO care where our tax dollars go, it will bring some accountability and transparency back to this country.
